This week at the California Theater in San Jose, Apple announced one more tablet in the market named as Apple iPad mini which is packed with a smaller 7.2 millimeters thick. It is almost half as heavy as the Apple Pad 3 and is 20% thinner.The price of this tablet starts at $329 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi version and will go on sale at Apple retail stores from 2nd November. Apple announced that it would be available for Pre-order on October 26th in 33 countries.The Apple iPad mini will be available in both WiFi and WiFi+Cellular configurations.
Apple chief executive officer Tim Cook started off the event saying, “”We have some very fond memories here, and we’re going to create a few more today.”
The Apple iPad mini boasted with a decent screen of 7.9-inches LED-backlit IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and having display resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels,which is the same resolution as the iPad 2.This tab runs on the iOS6 Operating System.iPad mini has been powered by dual-core A5 Cortex-A9 processor clocked with 1 GHz speed.
Its has a 5 MP camera on the back with resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels having features like autofocus, Face Detection, Geo Tagging.One more feature added to this tablet is 1.2 MP front facing camera which can capable to capture a HD video at 720p@30fps with camera feature like face detection, FaceTime.
